The maiden edition of the Face of Itire-Ikate LCDA pageant held over the weekend, spotlighting youth talent and culture in a vibrant celebration of community pride.
Organized under the leadership of Executive Chairman Hon. Oluwafemi Daniel Odunayo, the event brought together residents, political leaders and young women from across the council area.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Odunayo reaffirmed his commitment to youth development, describing the pageant as “more than beauty — it’s a platform to discover talent, build confidence and give our young people a voice.”
“The future of Itire-Ikate lies in the energy and creativity of our youth. Programs like this remind us that development is about people, culture, and opportunity,” he said.
Queen Kalu Favour emerged as the winner of Face of Itire-Ikate LCDA 2026, with Ms. Ogunniyi Deborah Gbemisola and Ms. Sanyaolu Aminat placing 1st and 2rd Runner-Up. Special titles for Ms. Photogenic, Ms. Heritage, and Ms. Hospitality were also awarded.
The event marks one of several youth-focused initiatives under Hon. Odunayo’s administration aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement and creating opportunities for young people in Itire-Ikate.
